In a power plant in Landesbergen, a transformer trough was coated with IPA Polyschicht 2K to ensure a durable and resistant protective layer.
The structural decoupling of the transformer from the catch basin prevented the transmission of vibrations and ensured stable conditions during the coating work. Before application, the surface was thoroughly cleaned and precisely prepared with a diamond grinder. Indentations and unevenness were evened out with IPA Unimörtel Rapid to create an even base for the subsequent coating.
The application was carried out in two steps: Walls and ceilings were coated using the roller method, with the addition of 2-3% setting agent ensuring the desired viscosity and workability. The floor, on the other hand, was treated without a setting agent to ensure maximum surface adhesion and load-bearing capacity.
Thanks to this careful processing, the IPA Polyschicht 2K offers reliable protection against mechanical and chemical influences and contributes significantly to the durability of the transformer tank.
